A warm welcome to SmethwickPhotographic.com, the official website of Smethwick Photographic Society. Based in the midlands, SPS is one of the largest and friendliest photographic societies
in the UK with in excess of 250 members.

Although we have a long and distinguished past, we continuingly look to the future, embrace new technology and set new standards of excellence.

Pictorial, creative, portrait, natural history, sport and documentary images are all part of the rich tapestry of work exhibited at our centre of photographic excellence. Our members produce work
of the highest quality, exploring creative and innovative thinking. Some of our major award winning members came to Smethwick as complete beginners, and, by taking part in our photographic courses and lectures, have aspired to set new photographic standards.

Our comprehensive programme, held on Thursday evenings, includes inspirational presentations from the UK’s top photographers, merit competitions, visiting exhibitions and the staging of one of the UK’s top International Photographic exhibitions. On other nights of the week we run natural history, digital imaging, black and white and portrait groups. We also offer a complete range of instructional courses including one to one tuition.
